I have a lovely 1991 230 TE Automatic that has started giving me problems.
Driving along it will suddenly cut out - no alarms- and come to a halt. It will easily fire up again but cuts again almost immediately. Repeated attempts to start the car will result in the same thing, engine fires up OK but cuts out in a few seconds.
After a few minutes it will start up and run again with no problems.

This fault has reappeared three or four times now.

Any suggestions please on possible cause and solution - only other fault with car is that the battery, which has tested OK, will go flat after three or four days standing.

The OVP relay should not stop the car though the fuel pump relay will, you can take it out and bridge 30 to 87 and it should run without it, if you take a 12v feed to the pump direct, take the relay out first

Buy a new one ITS BEST IN THE LONG TERM.
