Had the joy of blowing my near side shaft/axle today and have been all over google trying to find if the 93 220te axles will be a match for my 89 230te axles. Checked new axles and they vary on brand .
I picked up a second hand set for both sides for a ridiculously good price and seem to be in good condition.
The donor axles came from an auto with abs - the same as mine, so I’m hoping my punt pays off before I get under the car and potentially waste my time.
Has anyone done the same?
Any info would be most appreciated.
