Hi,

Having problems with my trusty old 230TE (1991), drives fine for the first 5 minutes or so then lacks power, doesn't want to build up speed no matter how much the accelerator is pressed (max speed - 10mph). I've contacted a few independent Merc specialists but they are not willing to take on the work due to the age of the car. After doing some research, it has been suggested it could be the airflow meter or crank sensor.
I would be grateful if any of you guys could give me some advise.

Thanks for viewing my post.

I have had a blocked/collapsed fuel filter before, crank sensor means that the car would stall or not start a all, pretty sure you have the m102 engine and no airmass

Fuel filter, fuel tank outlet strainer, dodgy fuel pump/s - your car being an estate may have two fuel pumps in tandem- one may have gone.
