I'm thinking of selling my 1988 W124 250 TD. She is the five cylinder 2.5 litre touring (estate) diesel. She has 7 seats and a reasonably tasteful dark blue interior. 165k miles. White. Options included electric memory seat, themostatic heatnig controlls, tinted windows, heated washer jets, heated mirrors, pocket backs no seats. I've also correctly wired an ISO loom to the original stereo connector and the centre console controls work.
I've kept her mechanically up together since purchasing her and fixed anything needed doing. However there is one niggle and thats the passenger window motor just makes a noise rather than doing anything. The drivers rear window doesnt work either, but that might just be the switch.
She's been running on properlly processed bio diesel bought from a commercial establishment with no problems whatsoever. Cost of motoring is very cheap this way.
However my wife refuses to drive it as it's too big, her car went pop this week, so I'm thinking of getting something a little smaller so that she will drive it too (perhaps a C220 CDI)
It's located in hampshire/berkshire borders and any view or test is welcome.
