W124 300ce auto gearbox - nightmare
Well, I popped my 300CE-24 down to James Leigh, where they had a quick check of the oil. The car actually played up for them to see. Very friendly and helpful lot! He then advised that I should go down to KSM Carshalton, the gearbox specialists. I rang up and arranged to drop it off. As I left the car with KSM on the arranged Friday, they said they'd call me and let me know - but I didn't hear from them, so on Monday I rang up......cut a long story short. They never actually saw the fault, but thought they'd check the valve body, and replace the fluid. They confirmed they never replaced any parts, and couldn't guarantee that the fault was rectified, but that would be £180 pounds please!
So now, £180 lighter, car still has fault, and KSM are basically saying they can't fix it!
