W124 300ce Rear electric blind not working

My 300ce has the rear electric blind but its recently stopped working and now clicks each time I try to put it up or down... It sounds like the motors turning but not catching. It's the pre face lift version with single Gide rail.

I'm was going to see if its a simple case of the spindle to being seated correctly but can't see how to remove the cover on then parcel shelf and don't want to try and force it off... Anyone have any ideas?

Surely someone must have an idea about the rear blind set up?!

Hi Scott

I had this problem but decided in my case to made do with the clicking on the downward movement as my blind still works and the noise could be avoided by careful use of the dashboard switch. However in answer to your problem I found a reply on another site. You will have to remove the rear seats and parcel shelf to gain access to the unit itself. Hope this helps.
