W124 300ce24v rear suspension creak.

I have a 1992 300ce24 sportline. There is a noisy squeeky creaking coming from the rear suspension, it is a lot more noticeable when driving slow over rough ground ie speed bumps etc. When cruising at 30mph + it isnt noticeable. I had a quick look the other day and think it could be rear anti roll bar bushes. There is also a small squeek when the car is pushed down from the bootlid when stationary. Apart from this the car is smooth and handles great. As you may appreciate this noise is very annoying in such a car when otherwise is so refined. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just had a similar problem on a 203. Turned out to be the spring perch rubbing within its housing. A little silicone grease cured this.

Typically at the age of your vehicle the bushings start to deteriorate.
This will causes metal to metal contact and "creaks".
Do an inspection and replace if necessary.
