hi people, i have a 89 W124 300D, owned by my uncle from new and had lay of the road from late 2005 as he thought she wouldnt pass MOT again
so story goes that i always said i wanted her if he was ever looking rid of it and took delivery of her june of this year. the car has 216k miles on the clock but this is the 3rd dash has been fitted to the w124, with rough calculations we add the origional miles up to be 700k+ miles on origional 300D engine and automatic gearbox, reason why i believe it has lasted is due to it being serviced evry 3k miles without fail!
so took into her for mot all she failed on where 4 flexi brake hoses,yes there are a few other things that i want to replace but rome wasnt built in a day
pics will follow when i remember to take some.
work done so far;
genuine bbs woodtrim steering wheel fitted
2 new front wings
clear front indicators fitted
german pressed plates
future work to be caried out;
rear subframe bushes.
full respray,
lowering springs
300td engine
wheel refurb
