W124 300E-24 Sportline.

Hi,

I've just picked up a 1991 J reg W124 300E-24 Sportline. This is my first introduction to the world of Merc's and Hey I'm blown away. The car has covered 147K with merc history up to 132K, its in gun metal grey with cloth interior. Bodywork is in excellent condition with small rust bubbles around doors (where the door mouldings meet the "metal" work), rear tail gate and on roof. Wheel arches have also starting to go but nothing major. The car drives like new and the power is AWESOME!!! I picked the car up for £1800. I am looking to find out the performance details including mpg of the car and more info on the "sportline" package.

In my opinion the best Merc ever made :bannana:

Note that the coupe does not have the large bolsters on the seats.
The Sportline steering box is 3 turns, lock to lock. The standard box is about 3 1/2 turns.

I only hope i can find one at such good value when i finaly upgrade to one
