W124 300TD Fuel Filters

Can anyone tell me if my 1991 300TD has one of two fuel filters?, is there an in-line filter and if so where is it?.

There are two fuel filters on your car. The main filter and beside it a pre filter held in by a 10mm bolt. Some owners put in an inline filter under the inlet manifold too.

Whoops didnt see the 1991 (blame the ipod)

A 1991 will be the 603 and yes its a an inline filter under the manifold little plastic throw away job. Simple to change from underneath too.
