Hi all,

The old girl has started hunting at idle. I've had a weep at the delivery valve seals for a while now, that I've never got around to fixing. Could this be the culprit?

If so, can anyone recommend an online supplier for the o-rings and copper washers please?

Thanks

Well I've replaced the leaking delivery valve seals, and although it went successfully, it has not cured the idle hunting.

Can anyone offer any ideas?

Sorry no. Never heard of a diesel "hunting" My diesel does have a small air leak on start up and fires on 5 only. (I call this "eco" mode) It then settles down and is smooth as a button all day long, but still air is travelling through the system even when it is running smoothly.

make sure the fuel lines are not leaking in too much air - look for bubbles in the clear lines.

does this continue to occur when the engine is up to temperature?

This is a 603-engined car? 300TD? Or an E300 Diesel?
