I hear W124s have loom issues - out of interest what are the symptoms and what's the cost of replacement. Sounds horrifying if the WHOLE car needs rewiring or is it just a section ?

Well, you can get the loom for £500 + VAT, I suspect the big cost is the labour of putting it in. Given it will be difficult to test drive for other faults, probably best avoided.

If it wasn't so far away i'd have it if the panels and body were in good nick, would do as a spares car. Trouble is one mans vgc is another mans tatty.
