AMG Japan conversion , meaning converted after factory , so decoding VIN won't reveal the truth . Proper documentation and finding that AMG engine stamp is your only proof .

The font didn't look particularly small to me. Try holding the CTRL key and using your mouse scroll wheel to adjust the font size.

Thanks - I am aware of that but I was being sarcastic! The font size in the description bit is enormous.

If people want an AMG 400 then there is this car in Germany (another Japanese import) which wouldn't need a fair bit of sorting and looks a lot nicer, for just over half the money.

Some of these are actually AMG modded - so a normal 400E would go into AMG for a tune up. Various tune ups are available, there should be a sticker in the engine bay showing power output and paperwork to confirm.

Another way to check would be to dyno it.

It doesn't make sense over a 500E though IMO.
