I have a nice Multivalve W124 which I want to turn into a 7 seater - I have the donor car too, which is a factory 7 seater - how complex is this job and has anyone else attempted it ?

Its on here somewhere. I seem to remember the main faff is getting the rear two seats belts fitted. Good Luck.

If the colours match it's not a hard job, just fiddly. Your back, knees and feet will hurt by the end of it as you have to crawl around inside the load area

Go easy when fitting the rear belts as it's pretty easy to put a dent in the rear quarter from inside

I've just bought a kit to do this off EBay.
(Not really sure why as I don't have kids, but whatever.)

However, it's only got one of the boards - the one for the backrest I think.
What are the difference between floorboards on the 5 and 7 seater?
Is it going to work?

From memory I used my own boards too, you just have to transplant the brackets for the seat cushions etc across.

the inner dark grey liners are different though and have to be swapped.

Cool. I'll see what's there and what's not when I receive the package.
And then probably post a bunch of pictures with "Where does this bit go?" :D

Several massive amps is a far more judicious use of the space where the rear facing seats normally live. To each his own though.

Yes I did scratch several parts of my body wondering where to put the amps after id finished the conversion... In the end I had to resort to making a special holder to fit the amp inside the spare wheel....
Tools used were
- Amplifier
- Hammer
