W124 500e

Thats a beautiful example providing everything he said is true which i have no reason to doubt.

Its been for sale since the beginning of time.....

I remember this car on Pistonheads.

Doesnt state the mileage.
Instead, says an average of 11,000 miles a year.
Which sounds a lot less than 176,000 miles.

Nice car though.

Well the last 18 months at least. Perfect colour combo though...

they are not normal w124 fog lights in the lower bumper

only ever seen AMG fog lights (i need 1 if any one has a spare one)

that car is truly stunnning

if its cambridge then thats 10 miles away so i could probably hear the roar from my house

500e's have their fog lights in the front bumper from factory. As a result their headlights are totally different from standard w124s, as there is no foglight in the main headlamp unit. The small section of the headlights next to the grille are the main beam lights on a 500E, whereas they are the fogs on a standard w124.

The headlamp lenses are also different as a result and cannot be interchanged between a standard w124 and a 500e. The lenses on a 500e also have chrome/reflector lining on the side on the inside of the lense, whereas standard w124 doesn't.

ah

my audi was like that then as the inner part of the 2 part main light was main beam

on my w124 ive removed the fog light bulb from the main unit as ive got fogs in the bumper (AMG)

id love a set of them E500 headlights for my car as i cant see very well at night

This does look amazing, with great history and recent work - why doesn't it sell?

- Mercedes fitted from NEW Nokia 6310i hands free kit

i doubt the Nokia 6310i was out when this car was NEW so how can he say that it was fitted from NEW?? unless mercedes preempted the creation of such a phone??

IMHO, because there are too many 500Es in the UK for the actual level of demand for them, and sellers aren't dropping their prices to reflect this.

When I first looked at them, they were incredibly rare to see advertised in the UK. Not any more (suspect a lot are private imports from www.mobile.de).

Being LHD will always put some UK buyers off.

Because the seller has spent too much time trying to conceal the mileage and because after 2(?)years plus, people are fed up of seeing it without a decent price reduction.
