W124 - Aftermarket "tank" grill?

I don't know if it's called the avantgarde, or the tank grill, but it looks like an w140 grill, the one with lots of lines.. my original grill has some cracks on it and such, but i was wondering what everyone else thinks of the aftermarket grill? im going to spray it black probably, but i want to know it terms of protection, as i don't want any cracks in my radiator

They`re called avantgarde grill and look nice but is not as strong as the original.

This is one that a friend has ordered recently for his E280, I quite like the look but have read that others suspect the quality, we'll see when it arrives.
