The GEN I kit I purchased for my widebody conversion is as good as it gets.
The USA manufacturer is "Extreme Dimensions" and the ex-works price for the front. rear and side skirts is USD $600.00.
The product is a semi rigid fiberglass which will twist over the length of the spoiler without cracking.
The overall finish is paint ready with only normal prep work required.
The front and rear use the stock bumper impact strips instead of being molded in like many replica kits.
Now the deficiencies, which to me become an asset.
The front and rear have no mounting/fixing points !!!!!
That being said my intention is to overlay the kit part to the stock part.
This will then allow a perfect match with the stock chassis fixing points and use stock hardware.
I will overlay the full unit as I want to gain width on the sides to match the flared fenders.
For a stock install the fixing points would have to be transferred to the kit or custom fabricated.
Shipping weight of one kit is about 21KG.
The carton that one kit is shipped in could hold at least an additional or potentially two more kits.
Shipping carton is about 72" x 42" x 24" and would dim out for airfreight to about 437 lbs / 199KG.
If you estimate about a $4.00KG consolidated airfreight rate, it would be about $800.00.
Delivered cost to LHR would be $2000.00 / 1180 Sterling for two kits in one shipping carton.
If the carton could hold three kits the delivered price per kit would be 394 Sterling...
Worth fabricating the mounting points ?
