Just had an unusual problem with the 200E- I was checking the washer fluid, and the bonnet came down on my head.. now it won't stay up on its own? No noise or anything else when it happened.. don't tell me I have to take the winge off to check the hinge springs? Anyone got any pics of their 124 without wings?

Serves me right for thinking of selling it I suppose:eek:

The wife didnt push it by any chance? allways worth checking first

Here you go.I would have thought the bonnet stays would keep it open if you opened it far enough?

Just what I need. Thanks Grober! I don't understand it myself- looks like the springs are just to assist raising the bonnet, and if a spring went' I'd have expected a big "twang" - Will need to investigate tomorrow.

Mine sags down slowly but doesn't crash; means if I forget I don't get hurt too much ;) I just end up using the vertical position instead for even the simplest tasks - it's not like I don't have the headroom, as I'm usually in the road anyway!
