Hi guys she failed on MOT becuse of bottom ball joint does this require new arm or just the bottom ball joint???

sportline suspension = new wishbone.
non sportline suspension = just ball joint.
 
From a recent thread on here, isn't it the case that it's the engine type that dictates whether the balljoints are welded in or not?

Eg - some 3.2 M104 6-cyl non-sportline cars have the non-replaceable joints.

If they are the replaceable press-in joints, the part is cheap (less than £15), but fitting will be more costly/inconvenient.
