W124 cabriolet interior lights and things

So, replaced door switches and no change.

The relay clicking is the light control relay 126 542 03 32

When the ignition is on and the doors open and close the relay is silent and the interior lights respond correctly

Ignition off relay clicks and lights don’t respond, remaining on constantly , does that tell anyone anything?

Can you swap the relay out for another to see if that makes a difference.

To hopefully close this thread and be of use to others who have similar problems.

The lights now behave, I had an hour so did the following:

Changed all the fuses

Changed the light control relay for a good one from my w126 (w124 one works in w126 so doubt that was the solution)

Discovered the map light switch was a bit dicky so worked it a few times until it consistently worked

Either one or a combination of the above has solved the issue, but I was wearing my w124 t shirt so that may have been it too, thanks for those who inputted
