One of my headlights (1994, W124) has a small hole in it. I can repair it easily but I would like to get inside and clean the inside of the glass where the rain has got in and trickled down.

Is it possible to remove the glass and if so, how do you do it please?

Thanks!

Release spring clip inside indicator unit and remove. Remove three screws & plastic thing in slam panel. Remove headlamp. There are four plastic clips holding the glass to the lamp unit. EASE these up GENTLY to remove glass. And I mean GENTLY. They break easily. Warm them first so they are less brittle and little wooden wedges help to maintain pressure.

I tried this yesterday and sorry, I can't see how to remove the indicator  Any hints please?

open the bonnect and poke your hand behind where you woud expect the bulb to go (or try to look behind - maybe use other side as reference if the side you are trying on is space-limited). Then you should feel a springy plastic "clip". push it gently and use your other hand to help the indicator move from the outside.
