I understand the original ones ( the ribbed ones? ) are no longer available from mercedes

I would like to obtain a set for my w124 Estate.
What are my options can anyone point me at a source of good quality new /as new or have all other w124 and the like owners gone for decent replicas.
Im interested in boot liners/ boot carpet also as i have a tenacious labrador who will be sharing the vehicle with me

does anyone have any experience of SVS they look to do some high quality replacements for the w124?

Rubber would be of interest too;)

I have a set from SVS. Very good quality though not exactly like the originals. They are ribbed. Only an expert could tell they are not genuine. Very helpful to deal with but took about 3 weeks to arrive. They order in batches from Germany so have to wait until they have a minimum order size.
Rubber mats are often on e-bay. I have both and use the rubber ones in bad weather like now and the ribbed in summer. Obsessional or what.
Bootliner form Car Roof Boxes | Bike Racks | Roof Bars - The Roof Box Company. Excellent quality. Comes from Sweden. Very tough. Quick delivery.

I bought a cheap fitted set for about £15 (new!) on ebay, they fit & look ok unless you're very fussy!

Both SVS and Classic merc mats look excellent.. they look very similar might be from same source
many thanks:thumb:

Its hard to tell but the finish on the classic merc mats looks slightly closer to the original. I think they have only recently become available in the UK.

I bought some from a chap 2 years ago who I think sourced them from the ame place as the Classic Merc ones. If this is the case then they were excellent quality. I had a choice of ribbed all over or a velour drivers foot rest. Might be worth giving them a ring.

thanks for that gents
i think im going to follow up classic mercedes mats
ill let you know by the aid of a picture how i get on:D

Is the metal badge logo on the classic merc mats as per the pic on the site? i.e. it only read "Mercedes", I thought the svs mats had a similar badge thats reads "Mercedes Benz". SVS do claim on their site that they buy from the oem supplier as the original dealer supplied mats, but who knows.

Hi All

just a quick update
i bought a set of black velour mats from classic mercedes mats
and i have to say i think they are ok....:(
i expected them to be marvelous as they are not cheap, they are in fact the most expensive mats i found
they actually look quite unremarkable , the pile is adequate rather than luxurious
i probably should have gone for the ribbed ones
i would recommend you try SVS ....

The SVS ones are not quite the same as original MB ones. My original worn out drivers mat had a plastic heel pad whereas the SVS ones are ribbed all over. Not a huge issue but I think the plastic pad wears better

Is there any interest in approaching Classic Mats for a group buy ?

I would be interested depending on the discount. The ribbed front mat set from SVS looks good value, I might end up buying that option if your invitation does'nt creat an interest. Notice they offer the transmision selector chrome surround which my car has-looks good on the car! If I order the (front) mats I'll go for the heater control surrounds as well.

SVS ones are fantastic... got them in most of my cars... and then I cover them with rubber mats to keep them nice!
