W124 clutch problem

I have a 1996 E220 petrol manual and my clutch pedal is hard to the touch. Please advise what i shud do to solve the problem. Tks

Do you have standard cylinder sizes, anything aftermarket been fitted by a PO maybe?

In the old days it may have meant the realease bearing carrier needed a bit of grease, I used to put grease nipples on Triumphs, but I have no idea of the design here....??
