    Dear All,

I wanted to try and change the rear shocks on my W124 E220 convertible and have a quick question.

Does anyone know how to access the top nut for the rear shock. Is it located hidden behind the carpet lining in the small boot?? or is it located behind the carpet lining in the compartment where the folding roof "hides" itself?? I dont want to start ripping out everything (just lazy I guess).

I am not sure if its the same for the coupe. The saloon is very easy as its behind the carpet lining in the boot.

    Thanks

    Ash

i had the same issue when doing my E46 325 , i looked on youtube and only found saloon how to guides.

I put the roof 3/4 down and lifted up the rear deck that hides the roof and propped it open so i could get to the top bolts.

    might be the same way
