Hi guys

I've got a w124 coupe e320 facelift

I want to fit 17 c36amg alloys they are staggered on the rear

Will they fit within doing any arch work or spaces?

And what's the best tyre size to go with so there is no rubbing and arch work or spacers neeeded?

Also will the car need to lowered as I don't want it to sit higher than standard high?

Thanks

With 17's it may not need to be lowered...?

Here is standard height. You can measure it with the ride height measuring tools from Daimler.

Should not need lowering as long as the tyre size keeps the overall diameter the same. The risk of rubbing will largely depend on the offset of the wheels you are fitting. Our 124 has 17inch wheels with 225/45/17 tyres and they do not rub. The wheels however are genuine 124 spec ones so have the correct offset.

Hi guys an update on the spec of my wheels just want some advice

17 amg monoblocks
7.5 j et35 front
8.5 j et30 rear

the tyre shop has advice me to have
215 45 17 front
225 45 17 rear

Is that correct?

To me it seems a bit odd. You will have a slightly different overall diameter from front to back. Not sure if its enough to give a problem though. The genuine 124 17 inch Monoblocks are 17 J7.5 ET42 and use 225/45 17s all round

Looks like the official offset changes depending on wheel style for the 17" range...124_OE_wheel_chart.jpg

That's brill
