You should be able to get the sensor part for less than the complete unit pictured above ----Bosch or PIERBURG --- ECP used to able to source/stock them???

whoops i was thinking about the lambda. Not MAF.

GSF list 2 units for your car 187ME0120 at £54 which I assume is the sensor

and 187ME0121 at £214-80 which I assume is the complete unit

UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T SPECIFY THE MANUFACTURER but you could phone them FOR MORE DETAILS?

Never knew the 220 had a maf!!!You learn something every day

..you taking the liberty dash?! :D

No mate honest,my old E200 had the same m111 engine but no maf

Some of the early M111 ENGINES had the Bosch PMS [PRESSURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM] type of fuel injection this used a different principle to measure the air flow into the engine ----the sensor is incorporated into the throttle body assembly with a narrow bore pipe running to the engine ECU. In these engines there is no MAF as such.

thanks - so thats the MAF then. what about the throttle body? Anyone know any good sources....i mean ebay has loads....~50-100???

Since its such a fundamental part of the injection system affecting fuel consumption performance and idling/starting I would be inclined to buy a new one. There were wiring loom issues with cars around 95 and the internal throttle body wiring can also be prone to insulation degradation or the delicate wiper contact assemblies are prone to wear/damage--- you could get lucky with a second hand one --- or not.

Not to scare you but the ones we list for the 124 are quite expensive! - However as Grober said, you might be doing a dis-service to yourself by buying a used unit, which causes you even more headache than before and simply becomes an expensive paperweight!

Would these throttle bodies control the tempomat (cruise cntrol) aswell? or am i just chatting cobblers?

Like Grober said if you need a throttle body get a new one! or try to rewire your old one, rather than buy a second hand one

MERCEDES BENZ NO 000 141 49 25 = the 2nd or lower picture is for the 6 cylinder 320 engine the first

MB 000 141 70 25 is for the smaller 4 cylinder 220 engine.
