Why not ? what bit will they rub on ?

I have rear flaps, and spotted a front set on ebay.... but surprise , surprise the bidding war started and in the end they sold for more than they cost new .... plus postage ;)

I get terrible mud spray up the side of my car, the last 500m to work are on a dirt track ..... :(

The mud flaps will rub on your tyres :p

Seriously, I recon they will (at least they did on mine) and i'm only running 16" wheels.

    Ha hahahahahahahahahahah h! :D

Yes that was a dumb question ..... sorry !

Do you still have them knocking around, do you think it would be worth offering them up ? i can't see how they would scrape, surely they are too far back and too low to hit the tyre ....

No they were the original fitment and ready for the bin.... Actually, looking at your car you may get away with it. The reason being that your car is lowered so the wheels sit higher in the arches.... higher perhaps than the mudflaps.

My car is on stilts so the widest point of the wheel was exactly where the mudflap bolt went through.

I have to say that even on standard suspension and 15" wheels, my front mudflaps ground occasionaly, but I don't care - well worth it for protecting cills from gravel rash.
And if you see how much cr@p would otherwise accumulate behind the plastic panels...

Howard, I'm sure I've got some floating around that came off my 300te. I'll have a look this weekend and let you know. They were Merc ones with the large white star on them, if I remember correctly.

If I find them, I'll take a photo and post it here. You can have them if you like the look of them.

    Cheers, Bill.
    :)

I already have a spot or two of the dreaded on the passenger door , where the plastic panel meets the paintwork ..... :(

Can't bring myself to take the panel off and have a look until my bank balance is healthier ......

Mudflaps !!!! sounds like a porn film...thought these were phased out in the seventies, somethin my ole man always had on his British Leyland Maxi, and then his Allegro...You could always compliment them with a green sun visor, roof rack bars, and some nice leopard fur seat covers...sorry Howard, just think they would spoil the lines of your lovely motor !!! muck or no muck.

    Flaps awaaaaaay!

I have lost one of mine twice in snow and on speed bumps with normal ride height. I reckon you could be struggling with your lowered set up Howard.

When I had the 190, bog standard. I kept losing one of my mud flaps. Ended up removing them all as the pain of stopping the car, getting out, collecting offending mud flap, throwing it in the boot, then re fitting it when I got home, got too much.

Hi Howard, eventually found them, (mudflaps), I'm sorry but they are in quite bad condition and I would be ashamed to offer them to anyone. They have been binned.

    Again, appologies.

    Bill.
