w124 Coupe Retrofit

Hi

I'm fairly new to the world of MB having just bought an early W124 coupe. I used to have a BMW E34 and it was really easy to retro fit optional extra on such as additional reading lights, OBC, rear facing airvents etc. (providing you could find them on ebay) Is it as easy on w124s? Is it possible to retrofit the outside temprature gauge? are there any upgrades that are really quick and easy?

Best mod I have done is an autodimming rear view mirror. Not hard to do - just a live feed and earth. Not hard to find on german e-bay. OTG can be done but it requires the LCD panel as well as wires/sensor. These can be hard to find and lots on cars being broken are quite literally broken.

I got an OTG lcd from retrodave to replace the broken one in my car when I got it - the lcd had leaked so it appeared black all across. Even the new one has some leakage now, seems they're not that robust at the age they are unfortunately.
