Hi Folks.
Have a 96 E220 Coupe with a badly worn steering wheel.
Found a new wheel (minus the airbag and bracket) on ebay which I bought (after the seller assuring me that it would fit)
Now the problem I have is:
The old airbag/horn bracket "sat" in the wheel and was screwed in place.
The new one has screws/bolts already embedded in the rubber/metal so it looks as if you would need bolts to attach the bracket.
The old bracket also seems to be to "deep" for the new wheel.
Apart from these points the wheels are identical.
I was just wondering if anyone knows if MB changed the shape of the horn bracket after 96?
Anyone know if I could "make it work" before I send it back?
