MERCEDES E36 AMG ESTATE AUTO GREEN (140495976593)

Relisted on ebay. Don't have my computer with me so apologies for no link

Another one remains for sale on mercedescarfinder.co.uk for 9k

As much as I like W124s and that is a lovely E36 AMG, but not for 10k. Also the pictures are rubbish.

He should have taken the 8.5k he was offered in the current climate.

Got to say that since I have got all the niggles on mine sorted i am really enjoying it. Finding any excuse to go for a run in it. They really are great cars.

do they suffer from the dreaded wiring loom as well?

seller should have taken the £8.5k offer

How do you know how much he got offered? It doesn't show anything on eBay...

Those alloys dont do it any justice.. some nice period AMG's are needed.

he had one offer in the last auction for £80!.

i would say 4-5k is a fair price 8.5k is out of this world in this climate

I disagree.

If you look at tidy low mileage 124 estates (eg on Nick Froome's site), they are going for upwards of 5k. The E36 estates are mega rare and will always command a premium over this.

Considering the rarity is hard to find a right price for it,also the car has a great spec
Now talking below 5k for it is taking a p...:(Go and find another one with similar spec and mileage for sale,I dare you :D

yes but we are trying to get a bargain i believe it will not achieve more 7k if it is a forced sale

I understand but I just think that below 5k is to low price, this is the best spec S124 I`ve seen

Are all 7RHD ? E36 accounted for ?- surprised ebay makes no numbers mention of ultra rarity

AMG made less than 200 E36s in total, and in right hand drive the numbers were:
24 coupés
14 cabriolets
12 saloons
7 estates

That's if there really was an £8.5k offer.

Whilst the car might be rare in terms of physical numbers produced, this does not necessarily translate into increased value. Lots of cars have been produced in very limited numbers but it takes more than just limited production volumes to increase value.
AMG does not really have much pedigree from that era in terms of pedigree or motorsport involvement for these cars which would uplift value. Furthermore, the Estate tends to have a more utilitarian outlook/image which deflates rather than increases value. If he was really offered £8.5K for it , he was a fool not to take it.
