Is it you offering a px?:D

How did you guess, there must be other people out there with more than 1 E36 :thumb:

IMO its just W124 touring with the AMG engine and mechanics plus alloy wheels. Though its rare and is a Q car, it just doesnt have the appeal of E280 or E320 with the AMG styling package including suspension. Nick sold an E280 with a factory fitted Gen 2 bodykit, suspension and better looking wheels sometime ago but the desirabiltiy factor for me is greater then the one advertised here. No doubt in the near future we may see the same car with the remedial work on Charles Ironside, Avangarde or maybe Cheshire Classic Benzs???

I've asked him to email me the VIN stating that this shouldn't be a problem since it's already on view in the windscreen. Let's see where it goes.

Well its not actually that bad in terms of price, given the mileage. How much would a genuine 70k E320 estate be worth? £4-5k? So thats only 50% more for 60 extra BHP.

You can pull a VIN number off from the registration which is clearly on show in the photos if you reallly wanted to - seems a bit daft 'hiding' it but I guess he's thinks he's doing the right thing.

I do agree with Akash, it's not cheap but I don't think he's too far off the money price-wise, £5-6k would make it a reasonable buy IMHO knowing that it needs about £1-1.5k to make it tidy (wheel refurb and paint down both sides?)

I bet it won't be around for long.

On a w124 is not.:)

Dunno.

"An "ordinary" E280 or E320 in that sort of condition would probably retail at £7-8k"

Given the E36 needs paint down both sides, wheels refurbed and interior work if I read the blurb correctly, even given that its 1 of 7 its not worth big money.

What he actually was told was:

"An "ordinary" E280 or E320 in that sort of condition would probably retail at £7-8k from a merc specialist

which may well be true for a late, low mileage W124 TE as far as the asking price goes, depending on spec, history, condition etc.

In the last picture, what is lying on the floor by the drivers seat?

The red thing is a fire extinguisher. The brown thing appears to be a dead leaf.

Sozz, didn't see this was already answered.

I rather like that - the fact it hasn't got a body kit and 3mm of ground clearance is a good thing IMHO.

I was quoted over £1200 for having one side of the CE sprayed by a local bod, wonder how it looks in the flesh as opinions on paintwork vary enormously.. ie. my idea of acceptable would give others on here nightmares.

Ade:If you`re thinking about i like this one also 1987 MERCEDES BRABUS 3.6 TE BLACK on eBay (end time 11-Feb-10 17:23:56 GMT) and has got the 7seat option.:thumb:

Very black. That's an old 124 with very low miles.

That`s what i like about it and that`s rarer not just in UK but Worldwide:thumb:

After checking the vin of that E36 AMG,turns out the car is fully loaded. It has everything including ASR

If it were me selling it, Id have had the bodywork carried out, and have left the centre caps on the wheels!

The wheels are an option on the E36, they are 2 piece AMG wheels made by BBS, size 7.5"x17" et42.

The E36 uses the same wiring harness as a E320 (depending on optional extras), so could have the same issue as any m104 loom.

Value, its hard to say with them being so rare. But then again the estate is probably not the most desirable either.

It always surprised me how many sellers don't include the centre caps :p :)
