Nice car but it seems to be sitting a bit too high for an AMG????

If genuine, as is claimed by the seller, it would be a superb buy with such low mileage!
It looks great in the photos.

Don't forget it's an extremely rare car - 1 or 7 RHD E36 estates, IIRC

are they std wheels? They look wrong.

Also knowing you have 1 of 7 cars in the UK surely you would have the minor paint issues he refers to sorted?

Does the 3.6 have any wiring loom issues?

What view on value £7500?

If it were me selling it, Id have had the bodywork carried out, and have left the centre caps on the wheels!

The wheels are an option on the E36, they are 2 piece AMG wheels made by BBS, size 7.5"x17" et42.

The E36 uses the same wiring harness as a E320 (depending on optional extras), so could have the same issue as any m104 loom.

Value, its hard to say with them being so rare. But then again the estate is probably not the most desirable either.

Why would you not provide the Vin# to an interested buyer? (see questions)

That`s a buyer walking away, but as you`ve said why :dk:

This was posted up on the 'other' forum yesterday, the seller doesn't have a clue what is worth so he asked on there. He's a dealer by the looks of things...

E36 Amg Estate W 124 series - Mercedes-Benz Owners' Forums

Now the other forum have helpfully told him that run of the mill 124 estates are worth £8k, the chances of this one being realistically priced have reduced a bit.

£8k!

What do they mean by run of the mill? (They must come with the optional gold plated gear knob for £8k.)

I thought the E36s had sportline interior?

Dunno.

"An "ordinary" E280 or E320 in that sort of condition would probably retail at £7-8k"

Given the E36 needs paint down both sides, wheels refurbed and interior work if I read the blurb correctly, even given that its 1 of 7 its not worth big money.

To refurb those alloys is a pain, akash can tell you about it.As much as i love w124,that`s never worth 8k for me.It has no bodykit and the color is crap in my view

Agree with the others on here about the price though.

It's a tough one to price being that they're so rare. But despite needing a little bit of TLC to make it mint, because it's only got 69k miles and it's one of seven made it'll fetch good money to the right punter.

Get the wheels refurbed and the bodywork A1, proper valet and a good fettle and I can see that one sitting at a specialists for £10k+.

I'd never pay that personally but you can bet there's someone, somewhere who will.

For me, an estate car is a practical vehicle and I can't say that the E36 would offer me much that an E320 wouldn't, so I'd rather a cheap E320 for £1-2k or something and spend the rest of the cash on something else :)
