I drove to work today in the 124 E36 and noticed a few small things that are playing in my mind. Any thoughts/advice you have would be much appreciated as always!

1. Fuel guage didnt quite remain in one place at some points. It seemed to be moving up and down of its own accord a little bit. At one point whilst I was stationary, it fell to 0 completely and then rose back up to the true level once I accelerated. Is this early signs of the sender unit starting to go?

2. Engine felt a little rough today. Normally super smooth but i could feel through the armrest a very slight judder. I did recently have issues with tyres and they probably aren't all at the same pressure so that could be it. The only difference in my driving is that I did red-line it over the weekend for a very short moment (~5 secs max!).

It`s a sign of the car wanting to be driven more

Yes I agree, drive it and see if that clears up.

As the the fuel guage its a sticky sender, again lack of use means the float is not used to going up and down so much and it gets sticky...

thanks guys. if the solution is simply to drive it more i will happily oblige!
