w124 E36

I remember this being on ebay some time last year. Since then it looks the wheels have been refurbished. The leather looks well worn though and that steering wheel is as glossy as can be !

Has anyone got any experience of these cars?

I'm over in Guildford tomorrow and could go and see it. If it's cheap it might make a good run-around for the missus.

Ive had one for a little over a month, it should drive like a e320 with a LOT more torque.
Make sure the engine has no rattles, Ive driven a couple which had this problem. If the speedo flickkers its not the simple cable or speedo head fix, the amg has a gear set to adapt the speedo, circa £500. Check the usual M104 issues.

From memory he wanted around the £5k mark for it last time, which in my opinion is overpriced for w124 saloon. He may have come down on that.

It's advertised in February issue of :

"Mercedes-Benz-Club" Gazette for £5,500 ono.

Apart from the LHD aspect, for a W124 saloon wouldn't you rather an E500? Or dare I say it, a W210 E55?

Yup, I remember this one being on ebay before, too.

Don't forget, it was also featured on Mercedes Enthusiast a couple of years ago, in one of their W124 E36 AMG features. I can't remember which issue though :o

Hes after around £4k for it now

I was thinking might be worth buying and swapping the engine and gearbox as a unit into my 320 Coupe, along with any other AMG bits.

Then sell the saloon as a normal 320.

OK it would then be de-valued, but probably not by much (ish) BUT my coupe value would be enhanced (and it is a keeper anyway).

Any comments ??????????

Go for it, but I only paid a smudge more than the current bid for my e36 coupe.
