is this something someone has cobbled together or did they actualy produce the e500 in estate version? it looks to me like it has the flared 500 arches on the front but not the back. It must be something special if its been bid upto eur16551 by 26 bids

MB did produce estate versions of the w124 500E and E60's.

Whether this is a genuine one would need more investigation but given the bidding it has generated in the past, it could well be genuine.

It has an E500 chassis number. That is quite a compelling argument for it being "real"

it no longer has gray leather interior so that points to it having been reshelled into an estate. Im still sure the back arshes dont look flared, also, its date of reg is march 93, that face lift bonnet wasnt used then was it?
