W124 Electric Rear Blind

Will these only fit saloons or can it go in a coupe too?

I tried to find out for you on detali.ru but it tells me to check the microfische! I don't have that...

It seems likely to me that the same blind would be used in both saloon and coupé but it's not guaranteed.

well i know for sure that the rear screens are different...
That makes sense. The roller blind is a rectangle that unfolds from the parcel shelf. It's actually quite likely that the W202 or W203 roller blind would work in the W124 either coupe or saloon as long as it's secured and has freedom to unfold.

Straight answer: don't know.

no i think the W124 works like the W126... it has a centre rod which it runs up with the help of an electric ariel type plastic rope... at least thats what it looks like on the EPC...

So is that a yes or a no to the coupe? I have never seen one on a coupe (but I am very new to this game). I really fancy another switch on my console (please - I KNOW thats sad):o

if you can zoom into the part number on that kit i can tell you definatively by putting it into EPC... there are about a gazillion different ones listed on the EPC, different colours, sizes, fitments etc..

Either way, the guy's feedback is pants and he lives in Germany.

Shude is correct, its a rectangle which unfolds itself rather than being pulled up by a rope type rod. I have seen it the blind in action on a coupe and believe that the coupe and saloon are the fit.

Not as sad as associating the mileage to 124 works with the distance from your house. ;) ;)

Im 99% sure this is just the electrical fitting kit, and the blind is not included. Ive taken my blind out nad there is no way you can strip it down to that extent.

Looks like the blind itself, housing, motor aren't included

I think the important parts are missing :D

W124 blinds work like the W140 blind, the twin cross arms.

Never a fan of the W126 blind, always stops working after a while!

I think this ebayer is selling in two parts, check under the other items and you will see another part for sale, pics look the same though but only one way to find out. Translate the description.

Someone rescue me from Matthew please :o. You want extra switches, Got loads of them in the office. Must remember to fit them ALL next time you visit, or is this another of your "wind ups". If so you have succeeded Cur. :D:devil:

The first wind up was fitting a V12 to a 190

But will they do anything when fitted - you say yourself you dont 'do' electrics
