Does anybody out there know if the memory seats are backwardly compatible with the regular electric seats on the w124?

I'm not trying to retro fit the memory function, I managed to twist the seat base on the passenger side when brute forcing it out of the car due to a broken captive bolt. I've been tryign to find a replacement, and can only find a seat base from a car with memory seats.

I was hoping I could use it as is, and the controls would still hook up and be usable, just sans memory function.

Otherwise, is it a case of swapping all of the wiring and motors over to make it work?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

You should be good to go, only you may have to transfer the connector block frame over to the new base, pop riveted to the base frame it should present no real problems. Motors should be just a matter of unscrewing the pot ones for the non pot non memory ones - which are screw in jobbies...
