Hello:
I have a non-working fuel gauge in a 1993 300TE with the 3.2L DOHC. The car sat for a very long time prior to me acquiring the car last year. I would like to be able to access the sending unit to see if it can be cleaned or repaired or at least tested. I have found videos on youtube that show how to access the gas tank sender in a W124 sedan but I have not been able to find any information on this same procedure in a W124 wagon.

Can anyone provide any hints as to how to get the the tank sending unit?

Thanks

Thank you Grober
He says that the backrest for the rearward facing seat has to be removed to allow the felt liner to be folded back.
Unfortunately he does not tell how to remove that backrest.
Anyway thanks for the reply and the pointer to this post/information.
I will continue researching.
