Looking to purchase the right set up in lowering my 124 estate. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. unsure where to purchase from and what make are the best ?. Thanks.

Complicated by the fact you have hydraulic self leveling rear suspension. It has small assist coil springs but they are mainly there to help when the car is at rest. A certain degree of adjustment [ lowering] is available by altering the control mechanism which is a valve linked by a lever arrangement to the rear anti roll bar [ at the expensive of suspension travel of course] The front is a non concentric strut and coil spring arrangement and to maintain a decent degree of damper travel shorter struts should be fitted together with any lowering springs. There are kits available from the usual suspects- Bilstein, HnR, EIBACH etc and Mercedes used to supply a Sportline suspension kit
