Hi folks ...

Any idea where or how to find a specialist that can renew, repair or replace my tired (read "a bit broken") luggage net behind the rear seats?

It's a black leather interior, the net is white string.

Thanks in advance.

If the seat back is like that on a W201 (and I suspect it is)......

Two self-tapping screws at the bottom hold the seat back in place. Remove those and pull the seat back down and off. This should reveal two strips on the reverse side of the seat back, held in by more (very short) self-tapping screws and washers. Remove those, then pull the string netting taught again and re-fit everything in reverse order.

30 minute job at the most.

I think the OP means the net that rolls out of the luggage cover. Probably best to find a complete cover from a breaker or e-bay. A car trimmer could tell you if repair is possible.

That sounds like a kind offer. Are they easy to fit? Am guessing so. We can message to sort out the details.

This forum is turning out to be a good place! Will contact tomorrow if you don't get to me first...

In fact, as a forum newbie I don't have PM privileges yet ... Perhaps you can message me?

Thanks

They just slide off the back of the seats, usually with a 'little' help from a well placed boot or a plastic mallet ime...
What exactly is wrong with it?

The net is scruffy and has come unstitched from the side "ribbon" ... Generally worn out I think. All in need of renewal.
