I'm currently looking for a good W124 estate. Would prefer a later model petrol and a E280 or E320 with the following if possible:
Dark colour
Cruise control
Aircon
CD player
MOT and tax
But none of the above are as important to me as:
Good condition in and out
As rust/rot free as possible
Good service history with paperwork (not just a stamped book) - at least the recent stuff.
If a 280 or 320 then a renewed wiring loom etc. would be real bonus.
Not bothered about leather or cloth interior, but would like as good condition as possible. Also, mileage is not really an issue for me, I appreciate buying on condition is more important (hence why my current daily driver is a 135,000 mile Fiat Coupé Turbo!).
Edit to add: Would also consider a good quality E280 or E320 Coupe. I don't need the estate's space, but just have always admired both the W124 estate and coupe as handsome looking cars.
I'm located near Oxford, but would be willing to travel for the car. My budget is flexible within reason and I realise I could well be looking at the top end of the market here.
Many thanks,
Simon
