Quick question.... I've got to replace the front section of my 1990 W124 230E exhaust, and have had quotes from £200-£350 (fitted).

I've been offered a cheap 200TE front section exhaust that LOOKS the same shape.... anyone know if it is? Or can point me towards online exhaust part numbers (thorough Googling hasn't turned anything up)?

Unless that is a genuine mercedes part, that sounds a bit expensive to me.

The front should be the same,I think only the backbox is different on the estate

Do you mean the downpipe or the centre box? Downpipes are surprisingly expensive

In my experience there are lots of different parts and you can't ever rely on things being interchangeable
