I got myself a cheap flat wiper on ebay. It needed a little adjustment (bending slightly) as it missed the middle area of the wiper slightly. Its been on my car for over 6 months and is still working as good as when I sorted it.

My main reason for getting it was I have always used branded wipers but the last few didnt last too well.

Yep, I've got one on mine after recommendation. Clears the screen really well & a bargain for the money.

I'd never heard of these until reading this thread, and was at the dealer this afternoon and noticed every new MB in the showroom has them fitted as standard. This evening I saw a whole display for them in Tesco.

I guess they're cheaper as there is basically no metal frame at all and hence cheaper to manufacture. So in this case cheaper doesn't necessarily mean worse.

And to think the main dealer in Dubai charged be 80 quid for 2 wipers for my W140 in March this year, and that didn't even include fitting!

I'll definatley be fitting these next time I need wipers for my w124.

Yes, I have these aero wipers, including the rear ones, on both A190 and A160 - better results and much quieter than standard ones.
