Hi,

I'm wondering just how rare these cars were? There appears to be little information about them on the web.

As far as I found, in 1989 AMG was not part of Mercedes and produced the AMG Hammer. This came in the forum of a 5+L engined model or a 3.2L? Anyone happen to have further information?

Thanks a lot!

Hammers could come in 5.0, 5.2, 5.4, and 6.0 32v v8's. I'm not sure if they ever built any 5.6 32v engines.

The 3.2 M103 engined 190e's and w124's are not a hammer, though people have given them the catch name of "baby hammer".

They are fairly rare to find, though we have owner's of both on this forum. I'll post up some more info tonight if you want.

I'm sure Talbirs one is a 5.6

Cheers!
