w124 heater removal

Hi all my heater on my88 e200 caret has just packed up, does anyone know how difficult it is to strip out before i attempt it!

Before you start the mammoth job of removing the heater, check that the duo valve is functioning properly. These are a fairly common fault and are easy to change.

they normally fail in the hot position, so unlikely, but do check everything.

ok guys cheers, as far as im aware the motor isnt working in the heater, it got stead;y slower then just stopped!

Ah, the blower. For some bizarre reason I assumed you wanted to remove the heater matrix.

It's not for a 124, but this thread may be of interest.

Hi all, ok the plot thickens! iv deduced the motor is at fault & is hidden under the wiper motor, Anyone know where i may be able to purchase a motor as im having probs sourcing one due to the cars age
