W124 information is either hard to find or I am not looking in the right place.
What I need to know is the switching from the three switches in the centre of the dash, between the rotary temperature selectors.
The car is a 1996 E300d, and the reason is this:
My car didn't operate the centre vent on arrival so I went looking for a reason and found a solenoid valve self tappered to the inner wing with obviously non standard wiring to it. I pulled the single pipe off and plugged it. With a loud plop, it dragged the vent open. I am guessing that the valve has been connected to the econ switch in order to pull it in when aircon is selected. I would like to see a diagram to see if my guess is right so I can get the vent to close as well as open. Now that would be a coup!
