I have a 1996 E220T which I bought 12 moths ago. The heater either blows red hot or nothing at all and the after market Diavia AC has never worked. My local mechanic looked under the steering wheel and told me he thought that a module looked missing as there were loose connectors there. I changed the Duo valve with no success.

Could anyone recommend a London based W124 heating and AC specialist to assist?

Odd, it does sound like a duo valve issue. Do you know for a fact the duo valve you used was working?

What part of London you want one might help.

I haven't used them personally, but those i know who have used them, seem to speak highly of them.

You have entered the A/C EQUIVALENT of the Bermuda Triangle. DIAVIA were an aftermarket/dealer retro fit A/C COMPANY. Their dash controls look the same as MB but are completely different in how they are wired up. The missing unit behind the dash is probably the DAVIA CONTROL UNIT [NLA] Your best bet is to try to restore the orginal MB heater only system with second hand parts. YOU MUST TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO A SPECIALIST WHO HAS EXPERIENCE OF RETROFITTING THESE [NLA] DIAVIA SYSTEMS- THERE IS NO SIMPLE FIX!

Thanks everyone for your help. I will now try and find someone who can restore the heating system for me. It sounds painful.
