Dont think so...

Do you feel lucky :D

Well, my drive to work is pretty much a straight line anyway :D

No, really, I hope it doesn't come on!

I drove around for a couple of weeks like this and it only happened to me once.

.
Just kidding, it was fine :D

OK, thanks! I hope the police will not want a word, 'Ello son, what's all this then? Been hot wiring it? :D'

Actually, I do have another question: how do I get the key out of the old barrel?

I can't see how to get it out :dk:

Thanks!

turn the key back to the 0 (off) position and withdraw it.

many years ago one of our family cars broke down, a snapped cambelt on a ford cortina. father decided to tow it with his truck and mother was tasked with steering the lame car. they actually managed about 10 miles of fairly straight roads before they reached the 't'-junction. sadly mother was only able to turn the wheel a quarter turn before the steering lock came on. the result, one cortina with snapped cambelt and smashed wing/headlight/bonnet/grille and a road sign pointing to mars. happy days.

Right, I now have the new barrel. Any hints on fitting it please?

Fitting is easy as pie. No tool required, just put it in (with the key in) and turn. you'll hear it click.

OK, thanks!
