W124 indicator issue

When the indicator stalk is used to do single right indication it doesn't work- it is fine when fully depressed to indicate a full right turn and will switch off after the turn as normal. I suspect a worn connection but any help would be appreciated. I am a little reluctant to dismantle the whole thing as it does indicate right normally- it is really only a nuisance when changing lanes- is there any easy way to get some cleaner onto the connection? Thanks in advance

I had an issue a year ago where my windscreen wiper started operating when I indicated right ....was a bit dubious about taking the plunge and dismantling it, but I went ahead, and fixed it in 10 mins by simply dismantling and reassembling (suspect it was a stray strand of wire loose in the stalk).

There was a point in the reassembly where I thought "Oh shi*t - I should have taken lots of photos as I stripped it..." - but then everything just snapped into place and it's worked faultlessly ever since.

Possibly a case of half-wit tinkerer just happens to get lucky - but I would suggest that if you are somewhat competent (and do the photography) that strip-down is worth a try.

Hope this helps
