W124 manual box mend (Gasp !)

Hello All, just new today so expect approx 1 million post over the next couple of minutes...... Looking for advice on self rebuild on 5 sp man box ? or info on costs :-( , availability of revamp kit ?, or firms who may be able to revamp the gearbox. Box is a spare on my bench. Symptoms on car is rumble sound , very, very slight vib only in 3rd/4th gear.no probs 5th gear, zooming ? along. Prop was vamped 3/4 yrs ago with sub 10k miles since. any help most welcome, thanks people.

Hi, and thanks Ray, i will give him a tinkle.

i am in Central bonny (today !) Scotland so his local should not be a major issue.
Any other input from members re my issues will be very welcome.
